First CEEPUS Student Mobility Exchange
The UACS graduate student from the School of Foreign Languages, Ana Kondinska, who is enrolled in the Master’s study programme Business Communication and Translation in English, was the first mobility student who participated in the CEEPUS (Central European Exchange Program for University Studies) exchange program.
According to the agreement that UACS through its School of Foreign Languages has with the CEEPUS network, the postgraduate student applied to participate in the network mobility scheme for a place in Slovenia. Following this, she was awarded a one-month grant by the Slovenian Ministry of Education, Science and Sports, to participate in the programme Transcultural Communication and Translation at the University of Maribor, Faculty of Arts.
During her stay this past April, she had a chance to attend all courses relevant to her specialization, that is, translation, but she could also participate in the courses from the teaching concentration. At the end of her exchange programme, she was presented with a Certificate for attending the programme in the specified period.
Apart from the lectures, in her free time she had the chance to travel and go sightseeing in the area in and around Maribor, thus visited: Ljubljana, Bled, Postojna Cave, Kamnica, Ptuj as well as Graz (Austria) which is located at a distance of only 70 km from Maribor.
She is grateful to University American College Skopje for opening this opportunity for its students and for giving her chance to study in a foreign academic environment, meet colleagues, and experience another culture.
She highly recommends the programme to all the students who wish to have a similar experience.
