The Reading competition "Celebrating Shakespeare’s life on the occasion of the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death" organized at UACS
On May 12, 2016 (Wednesday), UACS organized the traditional reading competition entitled: "Celebrating Shakespeare’s life on the occasion of the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death". During the competition, the third- and fourth-year high school students read, analyzed, performed and recited Shakespearean monologues and sonnets in English language.
The competition was organized by the UACS School of Foreign Languages in cooperation with the British Embassy in Skopje and the British Council in Macedonia.
112 students and 57 teachers from the high schools in Macedonia participated in this year’s competition.
The awards to the best students were given by Ms. Eleonora Zaprova, the Director of the British Council Macedonia.
The finalists who were awarded a certificate were the following:
Darko Stojanovski from Rade Jovcevski-Korcagin High School in Skopje, under the mentorship of the teacher, Ms. Tatjana Golceva.
Sonja Kojobasija from Dimitrija Cupovski High School in Veles, under the mentorship of the teacher, Ms. Biljana Vasileva Bojcev.
Iva Puovik from Nikola Karev High School in Skopje, under the mentorship of the teacher, Ms. Katerina Sodik.
